CDL License

CDL license is your key to a career as a truck driver. But what is it? No matter where you want to drive a truck in the United States, a CDL license is required to operate any vehicle more than 26,000 pounds or for a commercial use, or transporting hazardous materials that the feds require placards for. You need a CDL license to drive any low trucks or tractor-trailers. A CDL license has been required to drive a truck in the U.S. since 1986. The feds don’t require you to get any training, but they do require you pass a CDL license test. To pass the CDL license test you need to get at least 80 percent of the written questions on the CDL license test correct and pass a CDL license driving skills test.

How do I get experience being a truck driver if every company needs 2 years experience?

  2. admin says:

That is a great question Maritza. There are many ways to get jobs without experience. Some truck driving schools have contracts with companies where you can sign a contract to work through the school. This is probably your best option. Another option is finding a school that has job fairs, where trucking companies come to recruit drivers.
